Payday: at least twice a month, no more than 16 days apart

Article 103 of the Labor Code: wages shall be paid at least once every two (2) weeks or twice a month at intervals not exceeding sixteen (16) days.

The exception is force majeure — circumstances beyond the employer's control. Then the employer pays immediately after those circumstances have ceased.

Example

Illustrative example only. Payday every 15th and 30th → intervals of 15–16 days, OK. Payday on the 5th and the 25th → 20 days from the 5th to the 25th — that's more than 16.
