Korea K-ETA: 10,000 KRW, apply before boarding

The official K-ETA guide says nationals eligible for K-ETA who enter without a visa must get approval before boarding the flight or ship.

The fee is 10,000 KRW, with an online payment fee charged separately. It is non-refundable, even if the application is denied. Assessment typically takes 72 hours or less, and sometimes longer.

Example

Illustrative. Family of three: 3 × 10,000 KRW = 30,000 KRW, plus the payment fee. For a trip on Monday, apply at least the Thursday before, or earlier.

Important

If you need a visa instead, K-ETA isn't your route. Check your nationality first, on the official site only.

Before you apply

  • ☐ Check if your nationality is eligible
  • ☐ Use the official K-ETA site
  • ☐ Apply well before your flight
  • ☐ Keep your approval
