Layers for developers

Kubernetes 1.34 is end of life; 1.35 follows Feb 28, 2027

The Kubernetes releases page lists 1.34 with end of life on 2026-10-27, 1.35 on 2027-02-28, 1.36 on 2027-06-28 and 1.37 on 2027-10-28.

What to do

End-of-life releases no longer receive security updates or bug fixes. List your clusters and node pools by version, then plan the move to a supported minor.

Upgrade prep

Managed services keep their own schedules. Check your provider's dates as well.

Upgrade prep

  • ☐ List clusters by version
  • ☐ Check deprecated APIs
  • ☐ Upgrade in staging first
  • ☐ Set a date per cluster
