PostgreSQL 14 end of life: November 12, 2026

A sample plan

Illustrative example only. One primary and one replica on 14. Week 1: inventory extensions and client drivers. Week 2: restore a copy on 17 or 18 and run the test suite. Week 3: rehearse the switchover. Week 4: upgrade production in a planned window.

Note. Moving to the latest 14.x minor release is a good first step, but it is not a fix for end of life — plan the major upgrade.

Checklist

  • ☐ Extensions checked against the target version
