PostgreSQL 15: end of life November 11, 2027

The PostgreSQL versioning policy table lists version 15, first released October 13, 2022, with final release on November 11, 2027. Version 16 is supported to November 9, 2028.

What to plan

• Upgrade method: pg_upgrade or logical replication
• Extensions and their versions on the target
• Rehearsal on a copy of production, with timing
