Rails 8.0: security support ends November 7, 2026

The Rails maintenance policy lists 8.0.x with security support until November 7, 2026 and 8.1.x until October 10, 2027. Minor releases receive security fixes for two years after the first release in the series.

What to do

Once a series is out of support, dealing with bugs and security issues is your own responsibility. List the apps still on 8.0, check gems and Ruby versions, and move them to a supported series.
